Help increase the prosperity of the project economy!
Our mission at Wrapbook is to increase the prosperity of the project economy. A significant shift has occurred within the workforce recently and 50M Americans are now engaged in freelance or project-based work. The popularity of project based employment has introduced flexibility for both employers and employees but also added complexities from a compensation and administrative standpoint. Our vertical fintech platform enables companies to seamlessly onboard, pay and insure their workforces.
We’re building the best product for the entertainment industry but operate in a 50B market and have big goals we want to achieve. With over 30M raised from Andreessen Horowitz, Equal Ventures, Uncork Capital, Jeffrey Katzenberg and CAA co-founder Michael Ovitz, we are at an exciting stage of growth and there isn’t a better time to join!
The Opportunity - Principal User Researcher (Remote - USA / CANADA)
This is the role for you if you are a talented customer-obsessed user experience Researcher who wants to build and grow a program to help Wrapbook deeply understand the customers’ needs. You have an “anything is possible” mindset. You’re proud of your work, your skills and expertise – but you’re not cynical or inflexible and you want to be part of something great. You love being part of a highly collaborative and high-energy team with a big strategic vision and the optimism and grit to achieve it.
In this role you will own and define our research strategy and long-term research roadmap for understanding our customers. You will leverage your deep research expertise and applied experience to propose, execute, and deliver impactful research that influences our end-to-end experience for our customers.
You will collaborate with cross functional partners to identify the opportunities to revolutionize the way in which the project economy operates beginning with entertainment payroll. You distill customer insights into actions for the product teams. You interact regularly with the executive leadership team and are the voice of the customer in the organization.
You geek out over user research, psychology, ethnography and have a deep understanding of user research methods and best practices, but you also have a nimble, creative and pragmatic approach. You are a passionate, curious researcher with strong observational and analytical skills, an impressive ability to collaborate, and a relentless determination to do what is right. You are highly collaborative, with a strong record of influencing outcomes. You can work with minimal direction while delivering high-quality outputs. You are good at multi-tasking, juggling competing priorities, and organizing yourself to ensure you deliver on your commitments. Your passion for solving problems, and ability to lead with creativity and positive energy, foster and maintain personal and team momentum.
What you’ll Do:
Build and maintain a research roadmap that provides actions and insights to the product team and aligns with the short- and long-term product roadmap.
Employ the best research method(s) based on research questions, timeline, and resourcing.
Work closely with product, design, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to identify research topics and critical research questions, create detailed study plans and build a research roadmap; communicate and refresh on a regular basis to ensure impact and relevancy.
Drive impact, as measured by changes to the product design and development roadmap.
Create a deep understanding and empathy for our target customers through primary field research, behavioral analysis, and/or secondary research.
Eagerness to continuously learn, grow and set the standard for UX research at Wrapbook.
